Lauri J. Lowell, Executive Director
Lauri brings social work, community relations, life coaching, and organizational skills to her work at HomeHaven. She graduated from Clark University in Worcester, MA, where she studied history, political science, theater, and Judaics. She earned a JD from Rutgers Law School and a Masters in Social Work from New York University. She served as Director of Community Relations for the Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven and has lived in Hamden for 30 years. She is always delighted to talk about her two grown children, Jonah and Daniel.

Kate Hay, Operations Manager
Kate spent her formative years in New Haven and Burlington, VT. Her past lives include stints as a retail peon at both Atticus & Labyrinth Books, office manager for the VT Department of Health (where she ran the WIC Program), paralegal, and sales associate for an investment firm. In addition to managing HH operations, she is the mother of Ronan, daughter of Carol, dog-mom of Zoe, and an avid concert goer.

Kathy Jennings, Membership Associate
Kathy has been married to Nelson for 43 years and they have 3 daughters, 6 grandchildren, and one on the way; all live within a 90-minute drive. She has lived on both coasts, in the South and Midwest, Japan, and Scotland. Kathy previously taught English as a Second Language to adults, tutored elementary school children, and ran a tutoring/mentoring program for underprivileged youth living in public housing. Her other part-time job is taking care of their property in Hamden with many perennial beds, mature trees, and shrubs. |
