Andrew McLaren, President
Andrew is an educator with a degree in History from Cambridge University. He has worked as a teacher and headmaster at numerous private schools and worked for the Association of Independent Schools of New York. He was the former managing director of Horizons National, serving low-income children with enrichment programs at 60 affiliates nationwide, including the Foote School. He also serves on the Board of Fellowship Place. Andrew and his wife Francie Irvine moved to New Haven upon retirement and are members of Downtown Village. They have three children and three grandchildren. Andrew is a woodworker and furniture designer and builder. He is active on HomeHaven's Fund Development Committee and spearheaded the Tenth Anniversary Campaign.

Judith Colton, Vice President
Judith is Professor Emerita in History of Art and taught at Yale from 1973 until her retirement in 2006. She offered courses on 17th and 18th century art in Italy and France. She and her late husband Wayne Meeks were founding members of HomeHaven. She served as Co-Leader of the Hamden/North Haven Village for many years, currently co-chairs the Visitors Committee, and serves on the Membership Committee.

Harvey Feinberg, Secretary
Harvey is a long-time New Haven resident. Since the early 1980s, he has served on several New Haven commissions, most recently as chairman of the Commission for Equal Opportunities. During the 1990s, he was president of the New Haven Block Watch Association and is a volunteer for the United Way of Greater New Haven. He is a member of the Emergency Food and Shelter Committee for the Greater New Haven area. He has been a member of the 25th Ward Democratic Committee for over 30 years. Harvey is on the board of the New Haven Museum. He is Professor Emeritus of History at Southern Connecticut State University. Harvey graduated from Yale (1960) and earned a Ph.D. at Boston University (1969). He serves on HomeHaven's Household Services Committee and he and his wife Susan are members of Westville Village.

Allan Atherton, Treasurer
Allan was an executive with IBM from 1959-1996, and then a Senior Consultant with Keane, Inc. until 2002. For the past 20 years, he has been employed as a tax advisor for H&R Block. He was Director of the Southwest Connecticut Region of the National Executive Service Corps (NESC) from 2003-2006. Al served as President of the state’s National Alliance on Mental Illness organization (NAMI-CT) from 2008-2010. He is a former Treasurer of St John’s Episcopal Church in Stamford, Trinity Episcopal Church on the Green in New Haven, the Yale Glee Club Associates, the Yale Spizzwinks(?) Alumni Assoc., the Yale Whiffenpoof Alumni Assoc., and the Elm City National Alliance on Mental Illness affiliate. Al enjoys quartet singing as a member of the Elm City Four. He lives in Ashlar Village with his wife Peggy and is a member of ERV.

Diane Ariker, Director
Diane retired from Yale where she was formerly the Manager of Training and Development and Director of Student Services at the School of Organization and Management. She spent many years as a management consultant specializing in human resources and organization development and has served on numerous boards and committees in the New Haven community. She is a member of Amity Village and serves on the Governance Committee. Diane lives in Orange and has three children and five grandchildren. Travel was an abiding passion for her and her late husband, Walter, and they traveled throughout the world. Diane is a serious amateur pianist and enjoys the cultural offerings in both New Haven and New York.

Bob Dannies, Director
Bob and his wife Priscilla have lived on Edwards St since 1977. His career centered around investment management for a variety of Connecticut banks, several of which are now part of Bank of America. He retired in 2007 from Peoples Bank where he was Chief Investment Officer of the Private Bank. Bob continued on as Chair of the Investment Committee of the Peoples Community Foundation until its acquisition by M&T Bank. Bob and Priscilla are very much involved with a variety of New Haven arts organizations, including the New Haven Symphony, Long Wharf Theater, the International Festival, and the Arts Council. Since 2011, Bob has served as one of the five Proprietors of the New Haven Green. Bob chairs the Finance Committee and he and Priscilla are members of ERV. |

Marc Mann, Director
Marc joined Community Health Care Plan (CHCP) as an Internal Medicine physician in 1983 and opened their Hamden office in 1985. In 2001 he founded Whitney Internal Medicine. After 50 years in the trenches, he retired in 2023. A Mississippi boy, Marc attended the Putney School (VT), Harvard College, and Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, then completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the Univ. of Washington following two years in rural Oregon in the National Health Service Corps. In 1991 he was appointed Asst. Clinical Professor at Yale and served on the Yale Medical Board and many committees. Marc plays viola in orchestras and chamber music ensembles and is a founding board member of Music Haven and the Yale Medical Symphony Orchestra. He loves to swim, travel, and take pictures. He serves on the Health & Wellness Committee and he and his wife Margaret are members of the Hamden/North Haven Village.

Gene Shannon, Director
A graduate of Rider University, Gene Shannon, along with his late wife, Mary Anne, founded Shannon Fine Arts, Inc. in 1979. The gallery specialized in American paintings from 1840-1950. In 1997, Gene and Mary Anne expanded their vision by establishing Shannon’s Fine Art Auctioneers in Milford. Gene generously donated paintings and a print for the HH Hub. He is very active in Amity Village.

Harold (Hal) Spitzer, Director
Hal is an architect who had his own firm in NYC where he lived for 40 years. He moved to Hamden in 2005 to live with his life partner and now spouse, Tom Martin. He still practices as the building architect for 14 coops and condos in NYC. While living in New York, he was a member and ultimately chair of his coop board, the Professional Children’s School, and the Alpha Workshops (an organization that trains people with HIV to do decorative Arts). In CT, he joined the following boards: Mary Wade Home (trustee, 17 years; chair, 6 years), the Creative Arts Workshop (8 years), and the Board of HomeHaven in 2010, when it was transitioning from East Rock Village. He served on the Strategic Plan Task Force twice, the search committee for a new ED in 2017, and as chair of Governance and Household Services. Currently he is again chair of the Household Services Committee. He and Tom are members of Hamden/North Haven Village.

Kerry Triffin, Director
Kerry Triffin has lived most of his life in New Haven, attending Worthington Hooker, Foote, Hopkins, and Yale ‘67, ’70. He was a staff member at the New Haven Food Coop, one of the founders of Down to Earth vegetarian restaurant, and a founder/owner of Fairhaven Woodworks/Fairhaven Furniture. Kerry lives in Bethany with his wife, Liz Orsini and they are members of Amity Village. They travel frequently to Vermont and Florida, where their daughters and grandchildren live.
