What The Bear Wants, The Bear Takes

A personal photo-documentary of the 1968 Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia

Friday, January 26th, 2-3:30pm

Whitney Center Cultural Center

200 Leeder Hill Drive, Hamden

Copeland MacClintock just happened to be in Prague on August 20, 1968 when the armies of 5 of the Warsaw Pact nations marched in to end the “Prague Spring’. Armed with his camera, this is his exciting eyewitness account of that fateful occasion complete with tanks and guns.

Having joined the Division of Invertebrate Paleontology at Yale’s Peabody Museum in 1963, MacClintock retired in 2010.  He continues to volunteer his time and share his ongoing research there.  He and his wife, Dorcas, have been members of HomeHaven since 2012.
